After multiple failed attempts to find the best replacement pads for my beloved ATH-A990Z I was ready to give up.
Every pad I tried despite fitting and being comfortable made my headphones sound like cheap garbage.
Brainwavz sheepskin XL were my last resort and I am happy to confirm that not only do they fit perfectly, are very comfortable but they have the correct dimensions and they retain the sound quality very well!
They create a good seal and retain more of the bass making the sound warmer without sacrificing the highs and mids.
When you first put on the headphones with these pads they feel like a proper replacement and you can go about your business... but then...

These Brainwavz earpads are a fantastic upgrade for the AKG K271 mk2.
They dramatically improved the overall comfort, making long listening sessions much more enjoyable.
The plush material feels significantly better than the stock pads.
Sound-wise, I noticed a welcome boost in the low-end frequencies, adding warmth.

Excellent pavilions that I used on HIFIMAN Sundara closed Back, which I installed with double-sided tape, they are slightly larger than the diameter of the originals but they are functional and cover the entire ear, comfortable and excellent sound reproduction.. BrainWavz should add as an accessory some circular double-sided tape for assembly where it is not possible to use another alternative... Thanks Massimo, Modena, Italy
These fit perfectly on my Audio-technica ATH- A550Z's. Superior fit and better isolation. 10/10 would recommend.
They fit almost perfectly, are extremely comfortable so I can wear my headset for an extensive period of time without it getting annoying and it doesn't make my glasses hurt that much. I'm glad Brainwavz is still doing business since I first bought replacement pads from them in 2018 because these are great!
