I have a pair of Sony MDR-V7 and a pair of Sony MDR-7506 headphones and I use BrainWavz replacement earpads for both of them. I wear my 7506's every day and still get long lasting use out of the pads. They're comfortable, they fit the headphones very well (as thought they came with them) and they look cool in the colour varieties available.
Feels great to replace worn flaky pads.
The perforated pads do help keep my ears cool, so an improvement there.
Sound is similar to me, great all around.

I use Sony MDR 7506’s for work and I knew it was only a matter of time before I’d be needing new pads. These arrived fast and I couldn’t be happier with them. They’re well-made, good looking, comfortable and much easier to install than the OEM Sony cushions. A side note: the actual ear openings in the cushions seem to be a wee bit less accommodating than the Sonys. That may be because of the more robust padding. They still seal well, and unless you’re Dumbo, it should not be an issue.

My 2nd set of Brainwavz Sony replacement pads are just as nifty as my 1st pair. And they come in colors! Listening a lot persuades me that the phones sound better, too (though the pads I replaced were pretty beat). Another great product.
I use those pads for several days now, haven't had opportunity to test it in harsh conditions yet, but during sunny summer day I felt relief on my ears, they sure do sit tight, cancel out more sounds than the original ones, they are comfortable and seem durable. Red ones also look badass, I hope they will last forever!
