I've never been completely happy with my Fostex T50RPs- the original earpads were uncomfortably thin and were held in place with little squares of some kind of double-sided adhesive that softened in hot conditions. Because the factory pads fit really tightly, that would lead to them pulling free of the earpieces leaving sticky goo all over.
When the shiny coating on the factory pads began to flake off I considered just junking the headphones since I didn't want to replace the original pads with the same type and I was skeptical that anybody other than Fostex made replacements. When I saw the Brainwavz pads I was skeptical since they claimed to fit several models of headphone, but because the price was reasonable, I figured worst case I could use them on one of my other pairs.
I needn't have worried- not only do they fit perfectly, they're also way more comfortable than the originals, and the extra depth is a huge improvement. You'll need to be patient getting them on and I would recommend removing the factory adhesive (I used some alcohol wipes) to make it easier. The skirt portion of these pads covers more of the earpieces than the factory pads so they don't need any adhesive to stay in place, but they look like factory parts to me. I wish I'd known about them sooner.
HD 280’s stock pads are so nasty and cheap, these are a massive improvement in comfort and longevity. Very breathable too

Was searching through multiple websites for ath-50x earpads and came across this. they feel comfortable and put less pressure on my ears then the stock ones. great product
I am a working DJ and use my headphones all the time. The stock ear pads were flaking off (not good with 5'oclock shadow) and I needed replacements. These went on in literally two minutes and they feel great. Bigger so they fit around my ear. Tomorrow is my first test run with them for a 6 hour wedding. If you don't see an update, assume they were amazing, comfortable and worth every penny.

I have a cochlear implant, and these sit comfortably around my implant and make listening to music and gaming an enjoyment! I bought the red, but they also come in black, turquoise, and blue. I was skeptical for the price. The original pads on my ATH M20Xs had become like rocks pressing against my head. As a bald guy, very uncomfortable. These made me like my favorite headset all over again. Comfort alone would highly reccomend.
So much better than the original earpads. My ATH-M50x were almost too unbearable to wear but these earpads are bigger and better!
Needed a replacement for my ATH-MX50 ear pads that were starting to wear and honestly were uncomfortable. With a little effort I was able to put these on easily and I could tell right away they were way more comfortable than the stock pads. Great investment.
